While listening to 'Rehearsals for Retirement', started reading a bit about Phil Ochs, came across stuff about his friend Victor Jara who was tortured & murdered during the coup against Allende. Got me thinking about my mom's high school boyfriend Judd Kessler, who was Resident Regional Legal Adviser for the Agency for International Development in South America while that was happening. Apparently my grandma wished she had married the guy, my uncle apparently advised against it. Good on my uncle.
